A Dallas mergers & acquisitions firm desires to financially sponsor a Service Disabled Veteran into owning and leading an established legal services support business.
This a unique business opportunity for a service disabled veteran. Charles Lemmon and Alan Hutson, the principals in the Dallas, Texas based mergers and acquisitions firm of C.V. Lemmon & Co., Inc. desire to personally sponsor a qualified service disabled veteran for his/her acquisition of a local legal services support company (the “Target Company”). This is not a figurehead position. The candidate will not be required to invest his/her own funds for the acquisition. The selected candidate must have both the ability and desire to diligently work at the company. The selected candidate will have full day-to-day operating authority to lead and profitably grow the company while creating employment and contributing to the Dallas/Ft. Worth community.
The selected candidate will own 51% of the company. Charles Lemmon and Alan Hutson will own the remaining 49%, will not be active in day-to-day operations, but will be active at the Board level to provide guidance and support. This is a long term buy and hold investment. There are no intentions to build and sell the company.
The Target Company is a Dallas-based, 17 year old, profitable (with little debt) legal services support company. Its customers are professional firms. At this time, the Company is not currently serving government agencies at any level, but plans to expand into that market. It is an easy-to-understand business, which employs 15 people. Its approximate annual revenues are $1,300,000 (annual revenues in 2004 were $2,700,000). Revenues are currently depressed because of the economy, lack of direction, and the need to enter into new channels of distribution, such as government sales. The Company is positioned for profitable growth with proper leadership.
C.V. Lemmon & Co., Inc. Is a successful, 25 year old private investment banking firm, located in Dallas, Texas (www.cvlemmon.com). Its primary officers are: Charles V. Lemmon, President & Patriot; and Alan R. Hutson, Senior Vice President, former 1st Lieutenant, U.S. Army (Vietnam).
The service disabled veteran candidate will be vetted by Col. D. Grant Seabolt, Jr., USMCR (Ret.), along with advisory assistance from the U.S. Veterans Chamber of Commerce. The short list of candidates will be interviewed by Charles Lemmon, Alan Hutson, and other selected professionals. The Dallas, Texas law firm of Underwood, Perkins & Ralston, P.C. will represent Charles Lemmon and Alan Huston and will prepare all acquisition and ownership/employment related documents.The ideal candidate will:
a) Be certified as a service disabled veteran
b) Have had meaningful business experience with direct responsibility for the profit or loss of a company or division
c) Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and oral
d) Have proven extensive team leadership and motivational skills
e) Possess the ability and desire to work and lead this target company
